Creating a Podcast For Your Company
Producing your own podcast in-house, either by yourself or with members of you current team can sometime the the most practical (and affordable!) choice, but there is a lot that goes into making a podcast an effective and profitable tool for your business. Here are some of the elements you should be considering:
- The business purpose of your show – what role is it playing in your business, and how are you measuring it’s effectiveness?
- The production quality you’re releasing – are you creating a show that is going to sound as professional as you want it to?
- Leverging the content and relationships your are developing to further your company’s objectives.
- Creating a workflow that allows you to produce a high quality podcast without taking up your entire workweek.
With all of this in mind, if you are thinking about, or are currently producing a podcast for your business in-house, you might find that sometimes you need a little extra support.
That might mean:
- Input on your show structure or repurposing strategy.
- Tech support on fiddly editing projects.
- Brainstorming about your content calendar and guest list.
- Advice on organizing your information.
- Tips and strategies for promotion.
- And just knowing you have someone to ASK when these little things crop up, as they do from time to time.
Hiring a production company is one way to take a lot of the pressure off – but it’s not in the cards for every show, and even if it is, not every production company is going to be able to take your specific business needs and goals into account.
So we’ve created a community and training library to give you and your team members the knoweldge, information, straetgies and most importantly, expert support, you need to produce a successful podcast that brings value to your business – without breaking the bank.

On Demand Email Support
Email Support For When You're Stuck
If you’ve got a question – we probably have an answer! Members are entitled to email support (within reason!) within 24 hours Monday to Friday.
What is Within Reason?
Great question! Within reason means an email or two a week, usually. Of course there will be times in your life as a podcaster when you have a LOT of questions – and that’s cool, we’re here to support you – but we would expect that there are also times when you’ve got it and don’t need a lot of individual support.
Who will be answering the questions?
The team at One Stone Creative! We’ve got a combined 3 decades (and then some!) of experience in digital marketing, audio production, podcasting, online content creation, and more. AND we obsessively document and share our knowledge internally. There will almost certainly be someone on the team who can answer your question – or, at the very least point you in the right direction.
What kind of question should I ask?
You can ask things like:
What do these stats mean?
Why does my audio have that ringing sound?
Will this promotional strategy work?
How could I improve this CTA?
Is this a scam offer?
Which mic will be best for my office?
Basically, anything unique to your situation that you’d like expert advice on.
What kinds of questions should I not ask?
You can ask absolutely any question, but if we have a pre-made resource that deals with your situation, you need an in-depth content review, or the question would be best answered in a live format, we will let you know how to access the support you need, give you some resources to work with in the meantime, or direct you to a service that would be more appropriate.
Planning Calls
Planning Changes Everything.
Does the ever-growing list of ‘Things To Figure Out’ stress you out? It wouldn’t be surprising if it does! Guests, episode order, content repurposing, promotion, follow-ups, engaging with audience… There’s a lot – but a good plan is half the battle, and as with most things, doing it as a group rather than alone can make a big difference.
Monthly and Quarterly Planning Sessions
We’ll be hosting big quarterly planning calls for content, guest and episode planning, and smaller monthly calls to talk about promotions and follow-ups. Join the call, make your plans and use the community to keep yourself accountable! We’re going t set goals, meet them, and celebrate.
Schedule
To be determined, but expect a Monthly and Quarterly call with advance notice.
Training Library
On-Demand Instruction

Demonstration Videos
Wondering how to make an audiogram or videogram? How to edit out the worst mouth sounds? How to create a shell file to cut your editing time by 30%? We’ve probably got a training video for it – and if we don’t – let us know, and we’ll make one!
Templates
Why write from scratch that which you can shamelessly copy and modify for your own purposes? We’ve got templates for guest invitations, thank yous, episode notifications, swipe files, and more.
Guides and Methodology
There are lots of different ways you organize your information, plan your work and track your progress. Learn from what works for others, and see what works for your company!

About the Company
In-House Podcasting is a service and community created by One Stone Creative Inc. We are a podcast production agency that specializes in creating shows for exisiting businesses.
We’ve been producing podcasts since 2017, and decided that we wanted to make training, information and support available for those companies who are developing their podcasts in-house.
The company was founded by Megan Dougherty, a digital marketer with a backround in online business development, and Audra Casino, a producer with more than 20 years of broadcast audio experience.
Over ther years of creating shows for different kinds of businesses, they have developed a model for thinking about and planning an effective podcast for your company, called the Business Podcast Blueprints. These blueprints form the foundation of all of our training, and are a way to make sure that the podcast you create for your company is giving you a return on your investment of time, energy and money.
By identifying the Blueprint that makes the most sense for your business, you can more easily make the strategic decisions for your podcast, and track your results to make sure you’re seeing the kind of return that makes it a good investment.
